The tiny pink Isabelle represents Baby Peach, the infant form of Princess Peach. The first battle condition references Princess Peach's iconic "damsel-in-distress" role in the Mario series, where Mario must protect and/or rescue Princess Peach from being kidnapped by enemies. Isabelle's favored dash attack depicts her tripping and falling while throwing the flowerpot, referencing Baby Peach's infancy age, where babies are known for stumbling while learning to walk.

The Mario bros. encountered this younger version of the princess after travelling back in time to stop an alien invasion. Ever since, she’s become a mainstay of Mushroom Kingdom events like baseball and kart racing. Wait, who taught the baby how to drive!?
