The brown Samus represents the Chozo Statue, a light brown metallic humanoid statue, which appears as the background character. The music track is a remix of the Kraid's Lair theme song from Metroid, which also features an excerpt of "Stillness", which plays when Samus discovers a room containing a Chozo Statue. Samus starts the battle with a Screw Attack and favors special moves, referencing how the Chozo Statues provide Samus with item upgrades in the Metroid series, which serve as the basis of Samus's special moves. Other trivia: This spirit's Shooting Attack ↑ ability increases the power of the player's shooting items, referencing how the Chozo Statues provide Samus with upgrades for her Power Suit, including her Beam and Missile weapons.
The Chozo built these artifices of themselves to guard their most treasured artifacts and artillery. They offer upgrades to Samus, albeit not always for free. Some, called Torizo, will stand up and test her combat abilities! If she enters their hands in the Morph Ball, Samus will be healed and guided to her next objective.
