The green Giant Ridley puppet fighter represents the Dark Emperor, the main antagonist of the Find Mii series who is depicted as a giant, green, winged dragon and appears as the stage boss. The stage is based on the roof and the sky tower of the Castle of Darkness, the final level in Find Mii II which features the final boss battle against the Dark Emperor. The music track is based on the Dark Lord's boss battle theme song in the normal quest in Find Mii which is reused as the theme song during the final boss battle against the Dark Emperor in the game's secret quest. The first battle condition references the Dark Emperor's appearance as a stage boss in the Super Smash Bros. series where he cannot flinch when attacked on the Find Mii stage.
Waiting atop the Castle of Darkness is the Dark Emperor, an ancient evil that works to swallow up all the light in the world and plunge it into darkness, masterminding the capture of the royal family in Find Mii II. It poses quite the challenge to any hero that might stand against it, and that means in Smash, too! As a boss on the Find Mii stage, it can use magic to change player stats or destroy parts of the battlefield.
