The blue Corrin represents Enguarde, a blue swordfish character who, like Corrin, is themed around water and swords. The stage represents Coral Capers, the first underwater level in Donkey Kong Country located off the shores of Kongo Jungle, which features the first appearance of Enguarde as a playable character. The Buoyancy Reduced rule references Enguarde's ability to swim, which allows the player to navigate through the underwater levels in the Donkey Kong series. Corrin's favored dash attacks depicts him holding his sword forward in a spinning lunge, referencing Enguarde's ability to dash into his enemies with his sword-tipped bill. Other trivia: This spirit's Electric Weakness ability references how Enguarde is an aquatic creature, as water is a conductor for electricity. In World of Light, the Enguarde spirit is located in a large body of water on the DK Island map, the location of the Coral Capers level in Donkey Kong Country.
