The white giant Charizard represents Fortitudo, a giant, white, winged angel boss that has two dragon heads. The battle conditions emulate its battles where it flies and attacks with various fire attacks. Umbra Clock Tower represents the opening of Bayonetta where Fortutido are one of the enemies battled during the destruction of the Umbra Clock Tower, with the accompanying music track from that sequence playing in the battle.

One of the four Cardinal Virtues that hold dominion over Paradiso, Fortitudo, Bringer of Flame, embodies courage and, naturally, fortitude. The virtues are second only to the Creator, being manifestations of her will, and as such are some of the most dangerous Angels Bayonetta has to face. In battle, Fortitudo attacks with fire and magma, as well as being able to bend gravity itself to its will.
