#445 in the National Pokédex, Garchomp is the Mach Pokémon, capable of reaching speeds comparable to a jet when in flight, with its sharp scale pattern reducing drag, as well as cutting through opponents. Even just the wind it creates during flight has been known to fell trees. Despite its aerial ability, Garchomp usually dwells underground, being a Dragon/Ground dual-type. It was infamously used as the final and signature Pokémon of Sinnoh Champion, Cynthia, striking fear into any trainer who challenged her.
