Sheik represents Geno in this fight, but before her, the player must defeat representations of all the other members of the Super Mario RPG party. Mario, Bowser, and Peach represent themselves, while Kirby represents Mallow. Mario starts the fight with a Green Shell, in reference to multiple of his equippable weapons from that game—including his most powerful one—being the shells of various Koopas, which he kicks at enemies to attack.Geno occupies the body of a wooden doll, but is actually a Star sent down to the world from the mystic Star Road. In tribute to his origins, Star Rods spawn often, and the stage and music both originate from levels set in outer space. Sheik starts with a Super Scope because the doll Geno inhabits is full of hidden guns, including beam weapons, which he uses to fight.
When the Smithy Gang attacked the Mushroom Kingdom, they shattered the Star Road, scattering the seven Star Pieces and making it impossible to grant the people’s wishes. This earned the attention of ♡♪!?, a warrior from the Star Road who possesses the doll Geno to aid Mario in his quest to defeat the Smithy Gang and grant wishes once again.
