The giant purple Kirby represents King Bob-omb, a gigantic Bob-omb that rules over other Bob-ombs, which appear throughout the battle as items. Peach's Castle is the main hub area of Super Mario 64, King Bob-omb's debut game. The music track is the game's main theme, which plays in Bob-omb Battlefield, the level in which King Bob-omb is fought as a boss. The second battle condition references the boss battle against King Bob-omb as Yoshi in Super Mario 64 DS, where King Bob-omb throws Bob-ombs at Yoshi, who must fire them back in order to damage King Bob-omb.
The lord of all blasting matter, this big Bob-omb is the ruler of Bob-omb Battlefield. He guards a Power Star for Bowser, and must be battled by picking him up and throwing him to the ground. Despite his defeat, he continues to plague the Mushroom Kingdom in the Mario Party series.
