The Crafted Yoshi represents Leon Powalski, a green chameleon whose species are known for their long tongues. The green Wolf minion is based on his appearance in the Star Fox series, who serves as Leon's teammate and the leader of Team Star Wolf. The green Falco minion and the battle condition references the rivalry between Falco and Leon in Star Fox 64, where Fox must protect Falco from being destroyed by Leon. The stage is based on the planet Venom, the final planet of Star Fox 64, which features the final battle against Team Star Wolf.
Wolf’s right hand man on Team Star Wolf, Leon is the eternal rival of Falco Lombardi. He’s a sadistic and skilled killer who lacks any sense of remorse. Despite the reality of his deranged personality, he sees himself as a chameleon of great skill and class. Along with the canine himself, Leon is the longest-standing member of Team Star Wolf, with Wolf and Leon going back to their time in the Venomian Army.
