Greninja and its black costume represent Luka, an agile photographer dressed in black. The temporary invincibility references his ability to narrowly escape or survive otherwise deadly scenarios. New Donk City Hall represents the Ithavoll Building, the tallest tower in the metropolitan city of Isla Del Sol where Luka is thrown off by Balder in the sixteenth chapter of Bayonetta.

Upon learning that the Angels of Paradiso were the true culprits, he became an ally to Bayonetta, acting as her guide through the human realm and its history. He even helped Bayonetta recover Jeanne’s soul from the demons of Inferno!
