The grey Giant Meta Ridley represents Mecha Ridley, a giant robotic weapon covered in metallic plating designed to resemble Ridley. The music track is a remix of the Ridley boss battle theme song from Super Metroid, which is remixed and played during Mecha Ridley's boss battle in Metroid: Zero Mission. The Move Speed ↓ rule applied to Meta Ridley references how Mecha Ridley is missing its walking and flying units, causing its movements to be hindered. Meta Ridley primarily uses his smash attacks, referencing how Mecha Ridley uses its claws for physical attacks during its boss battle. Other trivia: This spirit's Initial Damage 30% ability makes the player start the battle with 30% damage and slightly weaker than the opponent, referencing how Ridley is an incomplete robot, making it weaker than the original Ridley.
Ridley built this robot in his own image to defend the Space Pirate Mother Ship. It attacks with all kinds of artillery: rockets, fireballs, and energy blasts. It can also attack with its claws.
