Jigglypuff represents how Kirby appears when partnered with Pitch (the green sleeping cap). The battle references Pitch's abilities in the Kirby series: he can fly quickly through the air, and the Fletchling that appear from Poké Balls are avian characters like him. The spirit's Unira Equipped ability references the Needle Copy Ability, which Pitch can use.

This tiny fowl is one of Kirby’s Animal Friends. Despite his stature, Kirby is able to ride on Pitch’s back, no problem! Kirby actually carries Pitch most of the time, though, only taking a ride during a dash. Pitch can just barely carry Kirby while flying, but if he inhales anything it’s back down to the ground for the Pink Puff!
