Spirit Battle trivia: The white Donkey Kong represents Super Kong, the white-furred version of Donkey Kong who appears in Super Guide mode after being summoned by Professor Chops. The music track is based on the theme song of Jungle Hijinxs, the first level in Donkey Kong Country Returns, which first features the appearance of Professor Chops as the Tutorial Pig. The Banana Peel item represents the Bananas and the banana-themed items featured in Donkey Kong Country Returns. The battle condition references Super Kong's ability to guide the players through difficult sections of a level where they keep losing their lives in the Super Guide mode. Other trivia: This spirit's Stamina ↑ ability references how Professor Chops' checkpoints can provide the Kongs with a Red Balloon to help them gain an extra life if they lose a life after passing the checkpoint.
Originally known as the “Tutorial Pig,” this porcine professor is extremely knowledgeable on all things Donkey Kong Country, teaching the player how to control the Kongs with his simple instructions. He’s the one who built all those helpful checkpoints throughout the levels, as well as being behind the introduction of the powerful Super Kong. How he controls such a powerful Kong, however, is still a mystery...
