The brown King K. Rool represents the Queen Metroid, a greenish-brown creature with a fanged mouth who features a royal title and serves as a final boss. The stage represents the Queen Metroid's nest in Area 8, the final area in Metroid: Samus Returns, which takes place in an organic cavern with green glowing liquid. The music track is based on the boss battle theme song of the Zeta Metroid, an earlier stage of the Metroid's life cycle featured in Samus Returns. The Giant and Attack Power ↑ rules reference how the Queen Metroid is the largest and most powerful stage in the Metroid species' natural life cycle. Other trivia: This spirit's Jump ↓ ability decreases the player's jumping height, referencing the Queen Metroid's inability to jump during her boss battle.
The final evolution of the Metroid species, specific genes are required for an Omega Metroid to be able to become a queen. Queens are the only Metroids capable of propagating their species, and Samus killed the only one during her mission on SR388. That was, until Federation scientists cloned another one! It’s weak point is its stomach, but how would one safely get to it?
