The large metal Kirbys represent the Robobot Armor. They wield Drills, referencing the armor's Screw Mode, which allows it to change its arm into a drill to turn screws. The Halberd plays an important plot role in Kirby: Planet Robobot; the armor scans the Halberd to engage its Halberd Mode. The music Pink Ball Activate! plays when Kirby first dons the armor.

Defeating an Invader Armor will allow Kirby to steal the suit for himself, donning the Haltmann Works Co.’s proprietary mecha. It comes with rocket boosters and the ability to scan enemies and copy their abilities, just like Kirby himself. Kirby even used a Robobot Armor in the final battle with Star Dream, combining with the Halberd to battle the mother computer.
