The blue Marth represents Seliph, one of the protagonists of Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War who wields the legendary sword, Tyrfing. The blue Ike minion represents the spirit of Seliph's deceased father, Sigurd, who appears to his son after defeating his killer, Arvis. The Defense ↑ rule references the defensive effects of Tyrfing, which increases Seliph's evasiveness stats when he takes a lot of damage and his HP is low. Other trivia: This spirit's Attack type and Sword Attack ↑ ability reference Seliph's Junior Lord class, which allows him to use swords in battle. In World of Light, the Seliph spirit is located on Galeem's side of the Final Battle map, referencing Seliph's epithet, the "Scion of Light".
After 17 years in hiding, Sigurd’s son Seliph has taken up the fight for Grannvale’s spirit, resisting the tyrannical rule of Emperor Arvis and his son, Julius. Using the sacred sword, Tyrfing, Seliph became a figure of hope for the people across the continent of Jugdral, coming to be known as the Scion of Light. Seliph led his forces to reclaim the capital city of Belhalla, ending Arvis’s empire and avenging his father.
