Shadow Mario is a disguise used by Bowser Jr. throughout Super Mario Sunshine, and is also used for his Final Smash. Delfino Plaza serves as the main hub world in Super Mario Sunshine; the Sticky Floor hazard recreates the paint-like goop that Bowser Jr., as Shadow Mario, covers Delfino Plaza with, rendering it nearly impossible to navigate through.

Truthfully Bowser Jr. in disguise, this liquidy lookalike was the true culprit behind the pollution of Isle Delfino. Shadow Mario would also kidnap Princess Peach and steal Mario’s F.L.U.D.D. for tough secret courses. Bowser Jr. once again assumes this form for his Final Smash, painting a damaging X on the very screen itself!
