The purple Sheik puppet fighter represents Shinobu, the female ninja host of Ninja Launcher who wears a purple robe. The Mii Swordfighter minion fighter's ninja-themed Nia Wig and purple Ninja Suit represent the player's Mii in Ninja Launcher, who serves as Shinobu's master. The stage represents the open plains setting of the early levels of Ninja Launcher which takes place in an outdoor setting with green grasslands, hills, and a partly cloudy sky. The music track is based on the theme song from Sakura Samurai: Art of the Sword, an action-adventure genre game taking place in feudal Japan that was released on the Nintendo 3DS, similar to Ninja Launcher. The Bullet Bill item and the first battle condition reference the main gameplay of Ninja Launcher where the player's Mii is launched out of a cannon and at an enemy.
When a demon army suddenly attacks, it’s up to the sensei and heir of the local ninja clan to rise up and save the people, assisted by their apprentice, Shinobu. Using the Ninjutsu Cannon, aimed and launched by Shinobu, the sensei fearlessly launches themselves toward their demonic foes. She truly is an indispensable member of the team, even if she doesn’t believe it, herself.
