The yellow Rosalina & Luma represent the Super Star, a yellow star-shaped item with simple black eyes, similar in design to the Lumas; the Super Star itself also appears as an item in the battle. In keeping with the star theme, Rosalina’s Final Smash causes her to summon a very similar-looking one, and Princess Peach’s Castle, in Super Mario 64, serves as the hub for the player’s quest to collect Power Stars. The rules of the battle recreate the abilities of the Super Star, which grant the player temporary invincibility and the ability to defeat enemies in one hit.

Quick! Catch it before it falls off the stage! The Super Star will bounce around just like it does in the Mario series. While you won’t be able to damage fighters just by touching them, they won’t be able to hit back for a short time, so it’s a chance to turn the tide of battle!
