The spirit's Fire Weakness ability references how Whispy Woods is easily defeated by fiery attacks in Kirby Star Allies.
The famous first boss of the Kirby series, Whispy Woods’ method of attack hasn’t changed in decades: shoot gusts of wind and drop apples on the Pink Puffball’s head. He does the same on both the stages he’s featured on in Smash, making fighters slide around with his powerful breath on both the Dream Land and Green Greens stages. On the latter, he’ll even drop apples! Avoid getting hit as they fall, but be sure to pick them up for some health!
