The yellow Yoshi represents the Wiggler, a yellow caterpillar enemy who wears shoes. The stage is based on the main setting of Super Mario World, the first game to feature the Wigglers. The Lip's Stick item will cause a flower to grow on the fighter's head, referencing the white flower that grows on top of the Wiggler's head. The increase in attack power with high damage references how the Wiggler becomes aggressive and turns red after being jumped on.

Native to the Forest of Illusion in Dinosaur Land, Wigglers are initially happy and docile creatures. Their happy exterior hides a very short temper, however. A jump won’t defeat a Wiggler, but enrage them! In this state, they’ll move much faster, chasing after Mario. Use a Super Star, shell, or Yoshi to defeat one.
