Falco

A talented pilot and part of the Star Fox team, Falco can be a bit rough around the edges. He once led his own galactic gang before joining up with Fox. Ex-gang leader, ace pilot and comrade of Fox, Falco Lombardi might play it cool, but he's burning with passion on the inside. Add to that his balanced array of attacks, and it's clear that Falco's a real threat.

Falco (Alt.)

Falco's Blaster looks identical to Fox's at first, but actually it's quite different! The beams Falco fires deal more damage and cause the victim to flinch, but at a slower rate of fire. Considering Falco's lineage, it's not all that surprising that he can fire faster while airborne. Falco's Blaster looks identical to Fox's at first glance, but they are actually quite different. Most notably, Falco's version causes enemies to flinch, which can be invaluable when warding off approaching foes. It also deals more damage and has a slower fire rate – though its fire rate actually increases when used in mid-air.
Fox

Leader of the Star Fox team, Fox is a skilled pilot with a strong sense of justice. In this game, he's quick on his feet and can use his speed to toy with opponents, attacking relentlessly and giving them no room to breathe. Fox (Alt.)

Fox is at home in the air, and many of his moves, like his up smash, Flip Kick, will send foes up there. It's great for KO'ing a damaged opponent. Another handy move is his up special Fire Fox. The flames that surround Fox deal damage to nearby foes, and you can launch yourself in any direction once charged. The Flip Kick that Fox does for his upward smash can really send foes flying. It's well worth pulling out this attack in combos against airborne opponents. Try following it up with his red-hot Fire Fox special to hammer them repeatedly. The fact that you can fly in any direction with this move is a real bonus too!

Great Fox (Assault)
BrawlTroféus

Great Fox (Assault)

The Great Fox as it appears in Star Fox: Assault, looking more streamlined than in previous appearances. It takes a horrible amount of damage at the hands of the parasitic Aparoid army, and in a last, desperate attack, Peppy crashes it into the Aparoid home world. In the nick of time, Peppy and ROB 64 are whisked to safety. The Great Fox as it appears in Star Fox: Assault, looking more streamlined than in previous appearances. Falco's Final Smash. He jumps aboard the Landmaster high-spec, antiaircraft tank. With the tank's powerful cannon blasts and rolling ability, it's possible to take out all enemies at once. Landmaster (Wolf)
BrawlTroféus

Landmaster (Wolf)

Wolf's Final Smash. Wolf analyzed Fox's Landmaster and built his own improved version, which he now calls out and boards. He's increased the output of the onboard generators and upped the vehicle's firepower. However, this has substantially decreased the time the Landmaster can appear on the screen. It sports the same colors as Wolf's Wolfen.
Leon Powalski
BrawlTroféus

Leon Powalski

A member of the Star Wolf team and a cold-blooded assassin. Without an inkling of goodwill or moral standing, Leon carries out duties as required by the job, remaining indifferent and robotic throughout. On top of his lethal skills, he maintains a solid reputation as a skilled pilot. Leon has been a teammate of Wolf's ever since belonging to the Venom army.
Panther Caroso
BrawlTroféus

Panther Caroso

The newest member of the Star Wolf team, rivals of Team Star Fox. A show-off who often embarrasses his teammates, he considers himself quite the ladies' cat and can hardly contain himself from making passes at attractive females, including Krystal, who he's clearly smitten with. Panther's trademark is a red rose. All things said, he's still a highly skilled pilot.
Peppy Hare
BrawlTroféus

Peppy Hare

A member of the original Star Fox team. Peppy Hare was an esteemed pilot, now retired and currently commanding the Star Fox team from the mother ship, the Great Fox. Although he's known for a propensity for nagging, the praise and trust his team gives him hasn't changed throughout the years.

Slippy Toad
BrawlTroféus

Slippy Toad

A top-notch mechanic with less-than-stellar battle skills. Slippy often holds the team back with his clumsiness but makes up for it with his likeable personality and morale-boosting presence.

Wolfen
BrawlTroféus

Wolfen

A class of star fighter piloted by Team Star Fox's rivals, Team Star Wolf. Wolfens boast more gravity-suppressing plates than Arwings, making their performance equal or perhaps even superior. When Team Star Wolf reappeared, they were piloting Wolfen II ships--improved versions with two laser cannons rather than one and the capability to reflect attacks by rolling.
Arwing
MeleeTroféus

Arwing

The Arwing is the symbol of Star Fox. Like an F-Zero racer, it's equipped with an opposing-gravity device. It can barrel roll and flip with ease thanks to its quick acceleration and flexible control. In battle, the ship uses retractable wings for precise flying. Every Arwing has smart bombs as its sub-weapons.
Falco Lombardi
MeleeTroféusFalco

Falco Lombardi

A Star Fox team pilot, Falco's constant air of casual indifference belies his precise piloting skills. He avoids discussion of what he did before joining the team, but many consider it likely that his past was filled with reckless behavior. He's not much for cooperation, but he does respect those more skilled than he is.
Falco Lombardi SMASH
MeleeTroféusFalco

Falco Lombardi SMASH

Where his leader, Fox, has blinding speed, Falco has his own distinct skills and advantages. He has both a higher jump and a longer reach than Fox, and although his Blaster lacks rapid-fire capabilities, it strikes with shocking force.
Falco Lombardi SMASH (2)
MeleeTroféusFalco

Falco Lombardi SMASH (2)

Falco's amazing jumping abilities have many merits, but it's vital to realize that it comes at the cost of some attack power and defensive strength. He falls at a high speed, which disrupts potential attackers, but this also prevents successful recoveries occasionally. Hit an opponent with Reflector, and he or she will fly straight up; this is Falco's quickest attack.
Falcon Flyer
MeleeTroféus

Falcon Flyer

Captain Falcon's speedy midsize star cruiser boasts an on-board computer that allows Falcon to control it remotely...perhaps that's why it's never appeared on-screen in an F-Zero game. Without this ship, Falcon couldn't prowl the galaxy like a lone wolf: the Blue Falcon is a state-of-the-art machine, but it's only used for F-Zero races.
Fox McCloud
MeleeTroféusFox

Fox McCloud

Fox McCloud is the leader of a band of adventurers-for-hire known as Star Fox. Fox and his fellow pilots Peppy, Slippy, and Falco patrol the Lylat system in their mother ship, the Great Fox. From the cockpit of his Arwing, Fox leads the ceaseless pursuit of the evil scientist Andross, who doomed Fox's father.
Fox McCloud SMASH
MeleeTroféusFox

Fox McCloud SMASH

Fox is among the quickest and nimblest of the Smash Bros. characters. His speed is offset by low firepower, however, and he's better at one-on-one fights than melees with multiple foes. His Blaster is unique: it does damage, but it doesn't make enemies flinch.
Fox McCloud SMASH (2)
MeleeTroféusFox

Fox McCloud SMASH (2)

Fox falls quickly, so he's a tough target to strike from below; however, this advantage can work against him when he goes flying sideways. You can use the Control Stick to set the direction of the Fire Fox technique while it's charging up. On a side note, Fox is also much lighter than he was in the N64 Super Smash Bros. game.
Landmaster Tank
MeleeTroféus

Landmaster Tank

Team Star Fox's high-powered, anti-aircraft hover tank. Its caterpillar-like treads allow it to perform quick lateral rolls. It can even fly for short periods of time. Its main cannons closely resemble the weapons technology on an Arwing, so the same rules apply: if you charge them up, you can shoot guided missiles.
Wolfen
MeleeTroféusWolf

Wolfen

The beloved ship of the mercenary team Star Wolf, which was hired to destroy Fox and his team. The ship's abilities rival an Arwing.;[sic] As a matter of fact, the Wolfen II was an improvement over its predecessor and could nearly outperform team Star Fox's ships. Star Wolf's leader, Wolf O'Donnell, is Fox's most persistent rival.

Corneria

List of versus mode stages

Announced at E3 2001, Corneria (惑星コーネリア, Planet Corneria) is a starter stage in Super Smash Bros. Melee, and is a smaller version of Fox's old stage, Sector Z, which was in Super Smash Bros. Corneria later appeared in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as a Melee stage and in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS as a familiar stage. In All-Star Mode in Melee, this stage is where one fights Fox and any of his teammates. This stage returns once again in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, although updated to resemble the stage's appearance in Star Fox Zero. In Smash 3DS and Ultimate, Falco is fought here when being unlocked.

Lylat Cruise

List of versus mode stages

Lylat Cruise (ライラットクルーズ, Lylat Cruise) is a stage in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It is situated on an original battlefield shaped spacecraft called the Pleiades as it flies around various areas of the Lylat System. The original Great Fox, Arwings, and Wolfens can be seen at various points in the stage.

Orbital Gate Assault

List of versus mode stages

It is partially set aboard the Great Fox, as with the previous Star Fox stages Sector Z, Corneria, and Venom. There are also sections set on top of missiles and on Arwings. It was confirmed as a stage on October 1, 2014, although a Pic of the Day teased it more than two months prior. Falco is fought here for his unlock battle.

Sector Z

List of versus mode stages

Sector Z (セクターZ, Sector Z) is a default stage appearing in Super Smash Bros. based on the Star Fox 64 level Sector Z. It is called "Sector Z" because of the red nebula in the background which resembles the letter "Z". This stage did not return in any later game, but a near-identically-shaped albeit much smaller stage also taking place on the Great Fox, Corneria, appeared in Super Smash Bros. Melee and later as a returning stage in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Venom

List of versus mode stages

Venom (惑星ベノム, Planet Venom) is a starter stage in Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
