''A regular pilot in the great galactic race F-ZERO Grand Prix, Captain Falcon is skilled at collecting prize money.'' ''Much about his past remains hidden in shadow, but it's clear that many a villain hold a grudge against him.''

Usually a relentless bounty hunter, Captain Falcon shifts gears to become a race pilot once the F-Zero Grand Prix begins. His beloved racer, the Blue Falcon, can exceed the speed of sound, and he knows how to drive it; he'll go down as one of the all-time greats. Now 36 years old, Captain Falcon wears his F-Zero X visor.

Moves
SMASH

He boldly combines both power and speed. His attacks are a bit sluggish to come out, but the sharp contrast between movement and attacking makes for an exhilarating playstyle. Falcon Punch is a special move with both extreme risk and extreme power. Raptor Boost shines when you launch the opponent into the air and follow up. B: Falcon Punch, Side+B: Raptor Boost

SMASH

The forward air attack, Knee Smash, is a bit slow to come out and lacks reach, but if you can land the very start cleanly, it sends opponents flying low and far. Falcon Dive grabs an opponent and breaks away with an explosion. After breaking away, it can be used once more, strengthening recovery. Up+B: Falcon Dive, Down+B: Falcon Kick

Capt. Falcon SMASH

The Knee Smash, used in midair on foes in front of you, is slow and has a short reach, but if it connects, it'll send foes flying a long way on a low trajectory. Falcon uses his Falcon Dive to grab an enemy in midair and fling them away with an explosive blast. He can do this technique repeatedly without landing, so it can also be used as a recovery move.

In the F-Zero racing scene, Captain Falcon uses his Blue Falcon to win big. His origin largely a mystery, he's made his way to the Smash Bros. battlefield to prove his worth outside the cockpit. He's got speed and power, and his distinct Falcon Punch leaves a dent. Start it in the air to surprise your foes!

Moves
EX

Falcon Kick is a Down Special that dashes forward with a fiery kick. Used on the ground, it dashes horizontally; used in the air, it launches a flying kick diagonally downward. Its dashing speed is fast, making it effective for surprise attacks. Knee Smash, delivered with the forward air attack, is an aerial knee strike. Landing it at point-blank range against an opponent results in extremely high knockback power. (SFC) F-ZERO (1990/11) (GC) F-ZERO GX (2003/07)

He's got speed and power, and his distinct Falcon Punch leaves a dent. Start it in the air to surprise your foes! We love it when this F-Zero pilot from Port Town takes a break from racing the Blue Falcon to take on challengers in brawls. His balance of speed, power and weight is spot on, and his slow but mighty Falcon Punch is oh so sweet when it finally connects. Try starting the attack in mid-air and punching your way into a frantic fray!

Captain Falcon (Alt.)

Captain Falcon's default down special, Falcon Kick, is no ordinary kick—it surges forward in a fiery blaze. It's a versatile attack that moves sideways on the ground and diagonally down in the air. His forward air attack, Knee Smash, can send an enemy flying for miles if hit just right. Captain Falcon's default down special, Falcon Kick, is no ordinary kick—it surges forward in a fiery blaze. The captain's Falcon Kick isn't just any old kick – it blazes either to the side or diagonally down to terrorise the enemy. Its speed also makes it top-notch for surprise attacks! Another move to try out is his forward air attack, Knee Smash. If you get as close to someone as you can before using it, it can launch them miles!

Used in midair, his hand has a meteor effect on the downswing. The trick is to hit the foe when they're below Captain Falcon.

[★★☆] Falcon Dive's Direction (Up Special)

Press left or right the moment Captain Falcon crouches to adjust the angle of the attack. By holding forward, you can greatly increase the range at which you can grab enemies.

[★★★] Wheel Kick (Up Tilt Attack)

If Falcon's heel hits an airborne enemy during this attack, it will dunk them. Try standing on the edge of the stage and using it on an opponent trying to grab the edge.

[★☆☆] Overhead Kick (Up Air Attack)

It's easy to use this move with a combo or as a diversion. Depending on the hit, you may be able to connect it with a forward air or down air attack to secure a KO.

[★☆☆] Captain Falcon's Origins

Grants super armor at the beginning of the move if performed on the ground. Drive into opponents with Raptor Boost, and then follow up when they're floating in the air.

[★☆☆] Continuous Falcon Dives (Up Special)

A leaping grab that sends the opponent flying with explosive force. If it connects, you're free to use the same attack again without landing.

[★★☆] Falcon Kick (Down Special)

The attack is at its most powerful right after pressing the button and loses power as it goes. However, it loses less power when it is used in the air.

[★☆☆] Blue Falcon (Final Smash)

The summoned Blue Falcon hits an opponent and sends them flying to an F-Zero course. There, Captain Falcon rams his beloved vehicle into an opponent at high speed, launching them into the air.

[★★☆] Blue Falcon Animation (Final Smash)

Depending on if he used it in the air or on the ground, Falcon's pose after striking will change. Of course, he won't be happy if he didn't hit anyone...

[★★☆] Knee Smash (Forward Air Attack)

There's a violent knee jab at the start of this move. Connect with that for some serious launching power.
