This is Zelda's alter ego. Using a variation of the name of the ancient Sheikah tribe, she appears before Link and teaches him melodies instrumental to his success. It's believed that she's not just a quick-change artist, but rather that she is able to instantaneously alter her clothing and her eye and skin color by using her magical skills. Moves
SMASH

While Zelda lacks physical technique and moves sluggishly but can push through with powerful magic, Sheik is agile and graceful but lacks a decisive finishing blow. Switch between them depending on the situation to maximize their advantages. Needle Storm adjusts the number of thrown needles based on how long the button is held. Chain lets you control its movement with the stick while it's active. B: Needle Storm, Side+B: Chain

SMASH

Sheik suits a strategy of dealing damage fluidly with strong attacks. Zelda has more knockback power, so in 1-on-1 matches, switching to Zelda at an appropriate moment can sometimes be advantageous — the right tool for the right job. Vanish has a short travel distance, but explodes the instant it warps, dealing a small attack. Up+B: Vanish, Down+B: Zelda Change

Sheik SMASH

The best strategy to use when playing as Sheik is to let her flow from one powerful attack into another, like a river of quicksilver. Zelda has some techniques with more punch, however, so in one-on-one battles, use Transform as needed. Sheik only travels a short way when using Vanish, but the move comes with a small explosion that damages foes around her.

Sheik SMASH (2)

Strategically switching between Zelda and Sheik is key. Compared to her Zelda form, Sheik is nimble and has gorgeous moves, but she lacks a strong knockout attack. The number of needles thrown in Needle Storm is based on how long you hold the B Button before releasing it. Use the Control Stick to wave the Chain after brandishing it.

The persona Zelda adopted to escape from Ganondorf. She completely hid all traces of her Zelda identity and appeared to Link as the last member of the Sheikah tribe. She taught Link essential ocarina melodies and then vanished in an instant. She didn't appear very often--rather, she would show up to support Link in crucial situations.

In The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Sheik claimed to be a surviving Sheikah. However, this was just a cunning disguise for Princess Zelda so that she could escape Ganondorf. In Smash Bros., she's the complete opposite of Zelda, striking with fast attacks that can keep an opponent off balance.

Burst Grenade is a Side Special that throws a small bomb. It pulls in nearby opponents and explodes when the button is released, when it bounces off terrain, or after a set amount of time passes. Holding the button extends its throwing distance. Bouncing Fish is a Down Special where she twists her body, spins forward once, and drops her heels together to attack. If the attack connects, Sheik gains an extra jump. (N64) The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1998/11) (3DS) The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D (2011/06)

In Smash Bros., she's the complete opposite of Zelda, striking with fast attacks that can unbalance her foes. Sheik is introduced in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time as the "survivor of the Sheikah", although it turns out to be Zelda, who took on the disguise to hide from Ganondorf. Sheik's ninja-like speed is a real contrast with Zelda's, and it allows for sneaky, fast-paced attacks that overwhelm opponents before they can even react.

Sheik (Alt.)

Sheik's Burst Grenade side special throws a small grenade that draws in nearby fighters before exploding. Once the button has been released, it'll hop or explode after a time. The down special Bouncing Fish is an attack where Sheik strikes with both heels, falling similarly to the way a fish might flop around. [★☆☆] In Her Series

After Link pulls the Master Sword and ages over time, this mysterious youth appears before him. Sheik appears before Link a number of times after that, teaching him various songs using a harp.

[★★☆] Bouncing Fish's Potential (Down Special)

Press the button again to make Sheik use the axe kick faster. Use it again right after the first kick hits, and you won't freeze up when you land.

[★★☆] Cycle Kick (Side Tilt Attack)

This attack is fast and can lift the enemy up a short distance, making it easier to strike the enemy multiple times in a combo.

[★☆☆] Sheik's Origins

Sheik first appeared in the 1998 N64 title The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Her true identity is Ze— I won't spoil it for you.

[★☆☆] Breath of the Wild

If you use the Sheik amiibo in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, you can sometimes obtain Sheik's Mask. You can re-create Sheik's look by wearing that with pieces from the Stealth series.

[★☆☆] Needle Storm (Neutral Special)

You can start charging this attack in the air. The more charged it is, the more needles are fired, but they lose power the farther they get from Sheik.

[★★☆] Burst Grenade (Side Special)

Hold the special-move button to throw the grenade farther. It doesn't move much once it lands, but it can travel three times as far in the air.

[★☆☆] Burst Grenade as an Item (Side Special)

If Burst Grenade is hit before the pin is removed, it'll fly off and explode. If Sheik is hit before the pin is removed, Burst Grenade will become an item and fall to the ground.

[★★☆] Bouncing Fish's Reach (Down Special)

Hold left or right to greatly affect the range of the attack. In this way, you can use the attack as a feint or really surprise an opponent!

[★☆☆] Sheikah Dance (Final Smash)

Sheik advances forth and slices through the opponent she hits. She can catch only one opponent with this move, but catching an opponent is pretty easy and the move is very powerful.

[★★☆] Razor Wing (Up Smash Attack)

Landing this attack while Sheik's hand is coming up will launch opponents upward. Landing it when her hand comes down will launch them sideways.

[★☆☆] Hatchet (Forward Air)

This move doesn't have much attack power, but you can trigger it quickly and it doesn't leave Sheik vulnerable for long. It's also great for combos on opponents that haven't taken much damage yet.
